Restricted Entry to the Temple

In an effort to manage the large influx of devotees and ensure safety, only five people will be allowed inside the temple at a time. This restriction includes Joginis and Shivasats, who play a crucial role in the rituals.

Specific Timing for Entry

Devotees are requested to plan their visit carefully, as entry will be permitted only between 1:30 PM and 4 PM from Bata Kudali. This specific timeframe is aimed at regulating the flow of people and minimizing congestion.

Procession Timing

The traditional palaram bandi (photo procession) that follows the Bonalu rituals will be permitted only until midnight. This adjustment is likely intended to reduce disturbances and maintain order during the late hours.

Historical and Cultural Significance

The Ujjain Mahankali Temple, with a history dating back to 1813, is a revered site where thousands gather each year to celebrate Bonalu. The festival, which includes vibrant processions and devotional offerings, is dedicated to Goddess Mahakali and is a major cultural event in Telangana.

With nearly 5 lakh devotees expected to participate, the temple authorities, in coordination with local government bodies, have implemented these changes to ensure that the festivities are conducted smoothly and safely.
