The arrival of Lord Ganesha amidst a lot of joy and fanfare marked the streets of RK Nagar in Amberpet as the Chatrapathi Yuva Sangh took to the streets. It was a special event as part of the Ganesh Chaturthi festival, where the whole community comes together, enjoys, and takes part in various activities.
It started with a Team First Pooja on 07-09-2024, Saturday morning, to begin all the festivities with the blessings and good wishes. This pooja set a peaceful and spiritual mood for all the events to follow.
The Dance Program was held on 08-09-2024, Sunday, and included Bharata Natyam and other traditional dances, which were really nice to see and reflected the rich culture of India. Everybody was astonished with the talent and dedication of the dancers to their craft.
The next day, 09-09-2024, Monday, the group had Bajana Guru Swamy. The atmosphere was holy, elevated with devotional songs and chants in the air.
On 10-09-2024, Tuesday, Maha Aarthi was performed with several people congregating together, offering their prayers and blessings to Lord Ganesha. The atmosphere was filled with brotherhood and devotion.
Early morning on Wednesday, 11-09-2024, at 5:00 A.M., Homam was performed. It is ritualistically performed with fire meant to purify the environment and the people involved in the process in order to provide them with the potential to start new and clear their lifestyles of obstacles or evil menace.
Even on 12-09-2024, Thursday was filled with Dhandiya night, and colorfully attired people danced to traditional music; the scene viewed looked so lively and joyous that everybody enjoyed the atmosphere.
On 13-09-2024, there was a Kukum Pooja & Pot Lock – a special pooja by all the womenfolk, praying together and rejoicing. This furthered the bonding amongst the womenfolk and gave an added touch of unity to the celebrations.
Helping others was the theme of 14-09-2024, Saturday, where Annadanam at 7.00 P.M. was held and food distributed to needy ones. It showed the spirit of sharing and caring, which is an important part of the festival.
On 15-09-2024, Sunday, a Blood Donation camp was organized by the group commencing at 10:00 A.M. Such events provide an opportunity for the people to donate blood and develop a sense of responsibility among themselves toward the service of humanity and also to save the lives of the people.
On 16-09-2024, Monday, the day started with an Utti ceremony, which was organized by the students. During this program, several indigenous games were played, which brought immense laughter and fun to the participants.
The procession will be concluded on Tuesday, 17-09-2024, with the Ganesh Nimajjanam. It is a ceremonial drowning of the Ganesha idol in water. It symbolizes Lord Ganesha returning to his heavenly abode. In this procession, grand music, dance, and devotion are expected to mark the end.
