Gujarat is facing the most reprehensible experience of severe floods as heavy rain lashed out for several days. The incessant rains caused overflowing of rivers and consequent entry of water into homes, while much of the city were severely flooded, particularly in Saurashtra and 12 coastal districts.
Flood and Rain
For the last three days, rain has lashed Gujarat, which shows heavy and continuous rainfall of about 50mm to 200mm in various districts. The proportion of water makes most of the cities in the state inundated by its level. The meteorological department, India Meteorological Department (IMD), has issued a warning stating the fall has not ceased yet, and more heavy rains are going to hit the region, keeping an eye on continued safety.
Because of this heavy flood, more than 18,000 people were evacuated by the authorities to safer places. Also, because of the flood, 28 people lost their lives. Both the government and rescue teams are trying their best to get everybody into safety and to avoid more loss of life.
Search and Rescue Operations
Rescue assistance has been sought by sending six Indian Army units to the most affected regions. Fourteen and twenty-two teams have also been provided by the national and state disaster response forces respectively to help the rescue operation either by evacuating the people or providing them with necessary medicines and other items. Support and Government Actions
While providing all possible support for the handling of the situation, the state government is closely monitoring the state of affairs with the help of the central authorities. They are making sure that food, clean water, and medical care were provided to the people who have been moved to safer areas. The government is also making sure that it puts in place measures aimed at preventing the diseases that often follow flooding.

According to them, necessary caution should be in place regarding local authorities and the latest news.
