Hyderabad, August 14, 2024 – Cognizant, a leading IT services company, is expanding its operations in Hyderabad by building a new campus. The foundation stone for this major project will be laid today by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, along with Cognizant CEO Ravi Kumar.
The new campus will cover 10 lakh square feet and is expected to provide jobs for 15,000 people. This expansion is a part of Cognizant’s plan to use the strong talent and good infrastructure available in Hyderabad to support its global operations. The new center will focus on advanced technologies like artificial intelligence, machine learning, digital engineering, and cloud computing.
This project was first discussed during a visit by the Chief Minister to Davos earlier this year, and now it is becoming a reality. The new campus will eventually be able to house 20,000 employees, making it one of the largest centers for Cognizant outside the United States.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who recently returned from a successful trip to the United States and South Korea to attract investments, said that the Telangana government is committed to supporting IT companies like Cognizant. He believes this project will help strengthen Hyderabad’s position as a major technology hub.
The new campus will not only create jobs but also boost the local economy and help Hyderabad grow as a key center for technology and business in India. This development is part of a larger plan by the Telangana government to encourage economic growth through partnerships with global tech leaders like Cognizant.
Today’s foundation stone ceremony marks the start of this exciting project, which promises to bring many opportunities to the region.
